JCC: Halloween Updates and Reminders

Greetings Families,

Tomorrow our school will be celebrating Halloween!

I wanted to give a few reminders for our day;

1. Costumes are allowed at school though we have some rules,
- No masks (we must be able identify students all day)
- No imitation weapons of any kind
- No overly scary or gory costumes - we do not want our younger students scared at school

2. Halloween Parade, 1:40 PM
Our school celebrates a Halloween Parade at 1:40 PM on the intermediate blacktop (by the basketball courts). You are welcome to join us, though please sign in through the front office.

3. Post Halloween Candy
We imagine lot's of our students will go trick-or-treating this weekend. Should your child have candy next week, please avoid having them bring it to school.

If you are interested in learning more about the history of Halloween with your children, here are some great resources:
A. History.Com; interesting infrmation on the history of trick-or-treating, vampires,
B. Library of Congress; History of Halloween Traditions

We look forward to a fun filled day tomorrow.

WIth great respect,
Mr. T
