Meet Your Community Liaison Leader

Our Community Liaison Leader Carolina Marion serves as a bridge between families, the school, and the wider community to support student success and well-being. This role helps strengthen communication between home and school, supports family engagement, and ensures families have access to important information, resources, and services. Community Liaison Leaders also assist with school attendance efforts, help families navigate school systems and communication tools, and connect students and families to academic, social, and community-based supports as needed.

  • Our Community Liaison Leader Carolina Marion supports all stakeholders in accessing community resources, ensure their educational rights are upheld, and advocate for families from diverse backgrounds. Additionally, I provide translation services during meetings and serve as a liaison for community needs.

    • Guidance to improve daily student attendance and reduce truancy concerns
    • Support in accessing school communication tools such as ParentSquare and ParentVue
    • Opportunities for family engagement, including Family Support Workshops, School Site Council (SSC), English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC), Open House events, and more
    • Connections to school and community resources for students and families experiencing homelessness or other challenges
    • Referrals and coordination with additional school and community-based support services
    • Ongoing follow-up with students experiencing challenges at school, including new student transitions, peer relationships, and overall student well-being
